Paige Payne's 2024 Festive Year in Review

Paige Payne - Physiotherapist

We are excited to introduce Paige Payne, one of our new physiotherapists who will be joining us in January 2025. Read on to learn more about Paige’s highlights from 2024, her future career goals, and some of her fun holiday traditions!

1. What is your most memorable moment from 2024?

Graduating with the MPT-N cohort in Prince George. It was bittersweet to say goodbye to some of the most amazing people I had met over the past 2 years of the program. OH, I also completed my first marathon here in Vancouver which was pretty neat!

2. What was your biggest learning lesson or takeaway from 2024?

My biggest takeaway from 2024 was to “go with the flow”. I found that throughout the program, and in life, some things are simply out of your control. The only thing that you can control is how you react to these various situations and how you can learn from

them!

3. What do you hope to accomplish professionally in 2025?

In 2025, I look forward to building on my knowledge as a new grad and learning from the amazing practitioners at RCP. I am super excited to clinically apply the skills I have learned over the past couple of years to help my future patients.

4. If you had to describe 2024 in 3 words, what would they be?

Blood, sweat & tears (just kidding). As 2024 was the year of wrapping up our time in the MPT program, I would likely describe 2024 in these 3 words: Perseverance (on those long study days), opportunity, and sentimental.

Festive Questions:

1. What is your favourite event or thing to do over the holidays in Vancouver / Lower

Mainland?

As I am from northern BC, I haven’t spent as much time in the Lower Mainland during the holidays. That being said, I was grateful to score some tickets to the Capilano Suspension Bridge around Christmas last year. I love all things festive and Christmassy, so the walk around this amazing light display was awesome! I am excited to explore the mountains around here and make more holiday memories over the next few years!

2. What’s your favourite restaurant or pub to go to during the holidays? Why is it your

favourite?

I can’t say that I have a favourite restaurant to go to during the holidays, because, as cheesy as this sounds, I would prefer to do something at home with my big family! My grandma's cooking for Christmas Dinner is truly unmatched.

3. What’s your favourite holiday drink (alcohol or non-alcoholic)?

This is a tough question since there are so many good holiday drinks. I must say that I enjoy a splash of Baileys in my Coffee on a snowy Christmas Morning.

4. Do you have a favourite holiday ornament or decoration, if so what is it?

Oddly enough, my favourite decoration on our faux Christmas tree are small sticks that smell like real pine needles. I know right, we should probably just go traditional and get a real tree.

Paige Payne is scheduled to join our team in January 2025. Keep an eye on our social media platforms for updates once her schedule is available. We are excited to have Paige with us, as she brings a wonderful fun personality along with valuable knowledge and experience to the clinic.
