1. What is your most memorable moment from 2024?
I did the North Coast Trail (a 50km backpacking trek) near Port Hardy. This was an incredible trip with friends and will have memories that will last a lifetime. Who knew all you need is cribbage, Monopoly Deal (a card game) and a few good friends for a full week of entertainment (no phones needed!).
2. What was your biggest learning lesson or take away from 2024?
It's fun to do hard things. I learnt that through training and running my first marathon and finishing up a gruelling 5 days of backpacking. I felt really connected to the rehabilitation cycle, it takes a lot to continue through the whole injury rehab process, but you have to choose to do that hard thing and you can have fun and feel an amazing sense of accomplishment if you go through with it.
3. What do you hope to accomplish professionally in 2025?
I continue to develop my ability to assess and treat injuries, I completed a course in IMS (dry needling) and am excited to bring that into my practice and help people get better using that tool, among others!
4. If you had to describe 2024 in 3 words, what would they be?
Firsts, Full, Fun
Festive Questions:
1. What is your favourite event or thing to do over the holidays in Vancouver / Lower Mainland?
I look forward to the family dinner the most. Most of my family is outside the lower mainland so it's special to see each other during the holiday season.
2. What’s your favourite restaurant or pub to go to during the holidays? Why is it your favourite?
Typically a lot of friends come home so we will have something that is not as accessible outside of Vancouver... normally that means we have a sushi dinner. Not exactly holiday food but it's really good and appreciated by all those who come back to town!
3. What’s your favourite holiday drink (alcohol or non-alcoholic)?
I like hot chocolate in the snow... plus or minus Baileys depending on the occasion.
4. Do you have a favourite holiday ornament or decoration, if so what is it?
My family has this random Snoopy Christmas toy which plays a piano jingle when you push a button, I used to push it every 5 seconds when I was younger. I don't hit the button as often but it still brings me joy to play music from it!
