Help us welcome Chris Chen and Tess Woldring to the Royal City Physiotherapy Team!
We are thrilled to have two new physiotherapists join our clinic. They both bring a wealth of knowledge and energy to the space, and we are so excited for you to meet them. Read along to learn more about their backgrounds, specialities, and what makes them unique. Tess and Chris will both be starting at Royal City Physio the second week of November 2022, and are ready to take appointments.
About Chris Chen
Chris completed his Master of Physical Therapy Degree after completing a Bachelor of Kinesiology at the University of British Columbia. He enjoys working with all injuries but has a particular interest in working with shoulder and knee injuries.
Chris has a passion for sports, having played competitive hockey for over 8 years. Through this, he has seen the life-changing impact that physiotherapy can have. He now hopes to provide this same care by enabling his clients to reach their unique and diverse goals.
Chris helps others to reach their full potential by providing individualized treatment through manual therapy, education, and person-centered exercises as he believes that every person is unique.
Outside the clinic, you can find Chris playing hockey, hiking, weight lifting, or running around town!

About Tess Woldring
Tess grew up in beautiful Burnaby, B.C playing a variety of sports. She completed her Masters of Physical Therapy Degree at the University of British Columbia while playing UBC Varsity Rugby and becoming an Academic All Canadian. Tess has an in-depth background in Sport Rehabilitation having been a trainer with the UBC Women’s Rugby Team and Point Grey Rugby League. She is also a Canada West Rugby Champion.
Tess has a passion for Return to Sport Rehabilitation and Pain Management Techniques. Her unique background of playing soccer, basketball, lacrosse, volleyball, rugby, and kayaking is a huge asset for guiding all types of athletes.
In her spare time, you can find Tess playing rugby, doing lifts at the gym, hiking, or lounging at the lake with friends.
