This September we decided to keep going with the 'Meal prep' trend we started with our 'Salsa Chicken Meal Prep' recipe for our 'Healthy Eating' post from last week. September is a time for convenience, to really cut down time on food preparation so that you can catch a few extra winks in the morning or fit in that late night workout. These fruit smoothie recipes don't compromise taste though, they just make your morning go by a little easier and a whole lot more delicious!
We got inspired by Tasty (Buzzfeed) 'Freezer- Prep Fruit Smoothies' and decided to create a few of our own. See the Tasty video below to see just how easy it is:
Sweet Tropical Infusion
Frozen in Ziploc:
- 1 cup of sliced Pineapple
- 1 cup of sliced Banana
- 1 cup of sliced Papaya
Add into blender when ready to make:
- 1 tsp of honey
- 1/2 cup of Vanilla Yogurt
- 1/2 cup of ice
Citrus Explosion:
Frozen in Ziploc:
- 1 cup of sliced orange
- 1 cup of sliced grapefruit
- 1 cup of sliced lemon
Add into blender when reader to make:
- 1 tsp of honey
- 1/2 cup of Vanilla Yogurt
- 1/2 cup of ice
BanApple :
Frozen in Ziploc:
- 1 cup of sliced banana
- 1 cup of sliced apple
Add into blender when reader to make:
- 1 tsp of honey
- 1/2 cup of Vanilla Yogurt
- 1/2 cup of Orange Juice
- 1/2 cup of ice
