Healthy Hydrating (May): Carrot Cake Smoothie

Do you have a craving for something sweet but haven't had quite enough healthy things to make you feel like you deserve a treat? Well, with this delicious and simple smoothie recipe, you get the best of both worlds. Not only will it kick your craving, it's the perfect way to sneakily include some of your daily servings of fruit and vegetables. If you aren't convinced yet , this smoothie is both refreshing, filling and takes very little time to prepare.

What you'll need (for one serving):

1 medium banana diced

1 cup carrots diced (5 – 6 carrots)

1/3 cup milk

1 cup of greek yogurt

2 tsp of maple syrup

1/4 tsp ground cinnamon

1 pinch ground nutmeg

1 pinch ground ginger

The Steps:

1. Prepare ingredients and toss them all in your blender.

2. Blend on high for 15 – 30 seconds. Check every ten seconds to see if blended through.

3. Serve and enjoy! Make sure you pour right away or it will separate.
