Local Business Feature: Mindful Mutts

October 19, 2017

Royal City Physio loves pawed pals, so for this month’s Local Business Feature, it just seems right to recommend our neighbours: Mindful Mutts. This doggy daycare prides themselves in offering 'low stress handling certified group dog care' in New Westminster and they’re right across the street from us!

Mindful Mutts Staff:

Their staff is not only knowledgeable but they also have an impressive amount of certifications to really make you comfortable with trusting them with your furry friend. They are well-trained in dog behaviour and pet first aid to ensure that the atmosphere in the daycare is low-stress and problem-free.

Mindful Mutts : What to Expect

If you drop your dogs off care at Mindful Mutts, your dogs can expect playtime but also some rest as the daycare believes in monitoring stimulation so that the dogs aren't exhausted. They also walk the dogs every 1 - 3 hours to ensure they're getting some fresh air. For pets who are afraid, they use pheromone treatment and calming music to slowly get them comfortable to the daycare. They also do nail trimming and ear cleaning as daily add-ons. If you're pooch needs a dog taxi to get to/from daycare that is also available.

If your pup just needs a check-in during the day, Mindful Mutt also offers walks in the Sapperton and (soon) Downtown New Westminster area. If your pet needs a longer stay with them, boarding is $55 and discounts may be available for a stay longer than 12 nights. They also offer a unique 'board and train' option if you're dog needs a more intensive training program. Mindful Mutts also offers a pet first aid training course and even houses training courses by 'Pawsitively Canine' if you're looking to work on your dog's manners.
